FAQ
FAQ
What should I bring to this class?
Not much! Just a yoga mat, maybe some yoga props (optional), an open heart, gratitude, and definitely a water bottle! (The Emerge Studio provides the best hydrogen water filter, so I highly suggest to take advantage!) A yoga mat, blanket, and block bolsters will be provided by the emerge studio if you don't own any of the above, however we always suggest to bring your own!
Do I need any prior experience with yoga to join this class?
No prior experience is needed. This class is designed to be accessible to practitioners of all levels, including beginners. The gentle movements and restorative poses are suitable for everyone, and we will offer modifications as needed.
How does slow flow yoga differ from other styles? And what are it's specific benefits?
Slow flow yoga involves a more deliberate and mindful approach to movement, with a focus on extending each pose and linking breath with movement at a slower pace. Unlike faster-paced vinyasa styles, slow flow allows for deeper exploration of each pose and greater attention to alignment and breath. The benefits include improved body awareness, enhanced flexibility, reduced risk of injury, and a calming effect on the mind and nervous system.
